In Jan/16, TIM led 4G coverage counting 1,255 covered cities and 66.6% of covered population.
Cities covered by 4G: TIM (1,255), Claro (738), Vivo (569), Oi (284) and Nextel (10).
Population covered by 4G: TIM (66.6%), Claro (62.3%), Vivo (60.9%), Oi (55.1%), Nextel (5.1%) and Algar (0.4%).

Commitments for 4G Coverage in 2.5 GHz
The commitments in 2.5 GHz will allow to cover:

Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Salvador (BA), Brasília (DF), Fortaleza (CE), Belo Horizonte (MG) and Recife (PE).
|December 2013||ALL the cities hoting and co-hosting the World Cup 2014
Belo Horizonte (MG), Brasília (DF), Cuiaba (MT), Curitiba (PR), Fortaleza (CE), Manaus (AM),Natal (RN),Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Recife (PE), Salvador (BA), São Paulo (SP) and Porto Alegre (RS).

* As the cities co-hosting the World Cup (training centers) would be chosen only in January 2014, Anatel and operators, represented by SindiTelebrasil, agreed to replace the demand on "Edital" to cover more 12 cities indicated as co-hosts of the World Cup by the coverage of more 27 cities, besides hosting cities, until december 31st 2013 by one or more operators. The training centers will have punctual coverage until April 2014.
Coverage for the World Cup 2014
The coverage commitments by the auction of 4G frequencies (2.5 GHz) establiched the end of 2013 as deadline to operators to cover with 4G all the cities hosting and co-hosting the World Cup 2014.
The four operators covered with 4G the host cities accoring to the deadline, however, the cities co-hosting the event (Training Centers) would be chosen only in January 2014. Anatel and operators, represented by SindiTelebrasil, agreed to replace the demand on "Edital" to cover more 12 cities indicated as co-hosts of the World Cup by:
- Coverage with 4G more than 27 cities, besides the hosting cisties, until December 31st, 2013, offered by one or more operators (50% of the coverage in the urban area of the hosting city): Araraquara –SP, Bento Gonçalves - RS , Canoas – RS, Cascavel – PR, Caxias do Sul – RS, Guarujá – SP, Jaguariúna-SP, Macaé-RJ, Santos-SP, São José dos Campos – SP, Ipatinga- MG, Porto Seguro –BA, Maringá- PR, São Caetano do Sul-SP, Barueri-SP, Belém-PA, Boa Vista-RR, Campinas-SP, Florianópolis-SC, Juiz de Fora – MG, Macapá- AP, Maceió- AL, São Bernardo do Campo- SP, Uberlândia- MG , Goiânia- GO, Joinville-SC and Vitória- ES.
- Punctual coverage with 4G until April 2014 in the training centers chosen by the delegations until 01.31.2014, and not counted as hosting cities or included among the 27 cities.
