Brasil Telecom is a brazilian company that works with fixed telephony and has the following subsidiaries: BrT Serviços de Internet S.A and Brasil Telecom GSM.

Brasil Telecom Celular acquired a license to operate in the Band E to the Region II of SMP that is the same of its concession area to Fixed Telephony and adopted the commercial name: Brasil Telecom GSM.
Brasil Telecom GSM started to operate in the last week of september/ 2004 with service's plans that promote the integration of fixed and mobile services.

With the approval of Anatel's universal goals in January / 2004, BrT had also approved authorizations and amendment to the concession contract allowing Brazil Telecom to provide Services of Local Telephony, Long National and International Distance in the whole country.
