Transit

 

Transit announced in Nov/06 a partnership with ZET to offer fixed telephony using PHS technology network. The Personal Handy-Phone System (PHS) is a digital technology (2G) developed in Japan to cellular systems (cordless).

 

Transit Telecom is a telecommunication operator that had gotten from ANATEL the license to operate Fixed Commuted Telephony Services (STFC), in local modalities, National and International Long Distance, to operate in the States: Santa Catarina, Rio Grande do Sul, Paraná, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Rio de Janeiro.

 

TRANSIT also has, the authorization of Multimedia Communication Service (SCM), which allows the operation of voice transmission and datas to the coporative market, in national and international scope.

 

According to the operators datas in Feb/05 it offered services to more than 10 thousand houses and 12 thousand companies, approximately 10 million calls/ month, which correspond to 26 million minutes/month.

 

The company focus in the coporative market and offers solutions in VoIP.

Important Facts

 

2000 Anatel gave 46 licences to the operation of Transit in fixed telephony (little mirrors) and SCM.
2003 Transit has gotten the licenses complementation to service provider in the local modalities, National Long Distance (LDN) and Internacional (LDI) in the Region III - State of São Paulo - General Plan of Outorgated (PGO), and in the areas of numeration 21, in Rio de Janeiro; 31 and 35 in Minas Gerais; 41 in Paraná; 47 and 49 in Santa Catarina and 51 and 54 in the Rio Grande do Sul.
