Profile of Internet Users in Brazil

 

This page presents the results of the research TIC Domiciles made by NIC.br. and IBGE (PNAD 2005).

 

The research is carried out in Sep/Oct counting 24,607 interviews. The results got from 2005 to 2007 don't include rural areas.

 

The following presents this information per age, income, social class, sex and instruction. It presents also the frequency of use, kinf of connection and place used for internet access.

 

The research considers internet users those people who accessed internet in the last three months. Following this criteria, it shows that 41% of the population accessed internet, 45% of them in urban area and 16% in rural.
