Net Adds of 1.9 million mobile accesses in Jul/10

According to Anatel's preliminary data, Brazil closed Jul/10 with 187 million mobile accesses and density of 96.83 cell/100 inhab.

Net adds of 1.886 million in Jul/10, they were lower than the number gotten in Jul/09 (2.3 million). Net adds accumulated over the last 12 months reached 25.1 million.

Postpaid increase was higher than prepaid. Prepaid base shrank in July, representing 82.22% of the total of mobile accesses.

GSM participation in the total of accesses reached the maximum of 90.16% in Nov/09 and, after that, it started fo fall. The drop in the participation happens because the number of GSM cell phones is increasing less then the number of WCDMA. WCDMA overtook CDMA in Feb/10.
