The service of Fix Telephony Commuted ( STFC) in its local modality is given in Brazil by the following categories:
| Concessionaires | Composed by companies of the system Telebras privatized in 1998 and some specials cases. Has more obligation than the others.
The contracts of concession were renewed in Jan/06. |
Authorization |
It Includes what is called "Mirror Companies", that received authorization in 1999, and others companies with STFC authorization. From 31st december 2001 doesn't exist a limit to the number of STFC operators by region. The concessionairs became authorized out of their region of concession. |
The regions ans sectors to concessions and authorizations of STFC were defined by Plano Geral de Outorgas (PGO) (in portuguese).
