Long Distance Operators

The service of Commuted Fixed Telephony (STFC) in the modalities of Nacional Long Distance (LDN) and International Long Distance (LDI) is operated in Brazil (Region IV) by a concessionaire (Embratel) and a Mirror Company (Intelig).
From 31st december/2001 there's no limit to the number of STFC operators, and Anatel has granted new authorizations to many companies.
STFC concessionaires to Local Service, that have concession of Long Distance on their regions have been growing the area with new authorizations.

Operators Codes

Following below Long Distance National (LDN) and Long Distance International (LDI) which have concession or authorization that allows national operation with Operator's Selection Code (CSP) and recommended cellular operators.

On 06/17/2010, Anatel decided that Oi can use the 31 CSP Code in its coverage area (Region I); and Brasil Telecom, 14 CSP Code in its area (Region II). The 31 CSP won't be used in Region II, nor will 14 be used in Region I. In region II, the group can choose one of the two CSPs to use.
