The service of Fixed Telephony Commuted (STFC) in the modalities of Long Distance Nacional (LDN) and Long Distance International (LDI) is given in the whole country in Brazil ( Region IV) by a concessionaire (Embratel) and a Mirror Company ( Intelig).
From 31st december/2001 there's no limit to the number of STFC operators, and Anatel has granted new authorizations to many companies.
STFC concessionaires to Local Service, that have concession of Long Distance on their regions have been growing the area with new authorizations.
Operators of Personal Service Mobile have the right of an authorization to LDN and LDI services.

Sercomtel Cellular resigned LDN and LDI authorization. Sercomtel (fixed) is in operation in the cities of Londrina, Tamarana, Ibiporã and Cambé in Paraná.

Vésper can do Long Distance inside of concession area. The operator's code selection are 85 to Vésper and 89 to Vésper SP. They will be disactivated in 02/18/2005.
