Unitel, founded in 2001, is a company of Angola's rights and has participation of Portugal Telecom, with 25% of the shares. Unitel market share is around 65%.
Fixed Telephony Operator
Angola Telecom is a Telecommunications Public Company and it's local fixed telephony Provider, long distance and international. In 2004 the monopoly was broken with the entrance of Nexus in operation. According to INACOM data (June/05), Angola Telecom had 90 thousand clients and Nexus 1 thousand.
