Note: According to Anatel's data released in Sep/09, the number of Pay TV subscribers was changed due to adjustments in the figures sent by the operators.

Since Apr/10, the criteria to determine the number of subscribers for the TVA-UHF service are being reviewed by Anatel.

 

 

Growth of 30.45% in 2011

Brasil ended 2011 with 12.7 million pay TV subscribers, growth of 30.5% over the previous year. Net adds reached 3 million in the year. Density hit 6.5 subscribers/100 inhabitants.

 

These numbers show the potential of pay TV service in Brazil.
