The table in the following presents the value charged for fixed telephony in 2009 (in US$), the value includes subscription and 30 local calls of 3 minutes each (15 min for those calls performed during the time of reduced tariff) in some selected countries according the ranking provided by UIT (Measuring Information Society 2010).

 

Brazil is the 53rd most expansive among 161 countries and the value charged in Brazil (US$ 13.43) is superior than the average of all the countries (US$ 12.0).
