In 2007 people paid average R$ 1,230,00 for desktops and the corporative market R$ 1,780,00. Retail corresponded for 39% of the sales in 2007.
The base installed reached 36 million PCs in 2007, 19 million for the corporative market.

The sales of PCs (shipments) in Latiin America was 6.3 million units with growth of 19.1% compared to 1Q07.
According to Gartner, HP leads shipments in Latin America in the 3Q07 with 991 thousand units, followed by Dell with 459 thousand and Positivo with 309 thousand.
According to IDC data Brazil was the 5th country in PCs sales in 2007 (shipments) with 10.7 million units. It was behind United States (64 millions), China (36 millions), Japan (13 millions) and United Kingdom (11.2 millions), India (6.4 millions).
