Alcatel-Lucent in Brazil
In Jan/08 Alcatel-Lucent was chosen by Brasil Telecom (BrT) as exclusive vendor of maintenance service to its network, previous done by 7 suppliers. The contract is R$ 2 billions to 2 years of services.

The company structured by Alcatel and Lucent is facing obstacles since the fusion in 2006. The company remainded in loss in 2Q08, what took to the substitution of its CEO, Pat Russo, and the Chairman, Serge Tchruk.
