| Nokia in 4Q11 |
Nokia's smartphones sales dropped 31.5% in comparison with 4Q10. This fall happened due to the operational system transition promoted by the company.
Another factor is Lumia 710 and Lumia 800, arrived in stores only in the last week of 4Q11.
Despite Lumia's sales low volume the handset showed good acceptance inside European, Hon Konger, Indian, Russian, Singaporean, South Korean and Taiwanese markets.
19.6 million smartphones were sold, and this number includes models of Symbian line, which the company will continue to support and increase for at least three years.
In January 2012, the company also started to break into North American market. T-Mobile started to sell Lumia Nokia 710. AT&T launched Nokia Lumia 900.
Nokia Lumia 900 is the third device of the line having Windows Phone and the first having LTE technology. |
