The biggest service providers of VoIP Fixed Telephony are Embratel/Net and GVT. The other operators present an incipient number of subscribers.

Teleco estimates that, in 2009, there were about 1.8 million VOIP subscribers in Brazil, it reaches 2.0 million VOIP subscribers in 2008 and 700 thousand in 2007.

 

Skype in partnership with Transit Telecom, had 45 thousand VOIP telephony subscribers (Skype) in 2006 (Info). Brazil ended 2006 with more than 262 thousand subscribers of VOIP fixed telephony.
