Oi
- On April 20th, the sale of Oi Mobile to Vivo, Claro and TIM was closed.
- The closing price was R$ 15,922 million, of which R$ 14,475 million was paid on this date and the remaining will be held for up to 120 days for possible compensation.
- The Purchasers also paid R$ 586 million related to transition services to be provided by Oi and signed Transmission Capacity Supply Agreements in the amount of R$ 819 million, to be paid in monthly installments for 10 years.
- Oi may also receive an additional amount of up to R$ 294.6 million, if migration targets for customer bases and frequencies are met.
- Part of this money was used to settle the debt of R$ 4,640 million with BNDES and purchase debt securities expiring in 2026 (US$ 868 million).
- Oi ended the month of February with R$ 1,095 million in cash, R$ 1,220 million less than in the previous month.
- Oi's ON shares did not present gains (0.0%) in the week and the PN shares lost 0.7%. The Ibovespa had losses of 4.4% in the week.
MVNOs
- Vivo, Claro and TIM published the Reference Offer (ORPA) for MVNO on their websites and submitted the ORPA (National Roaming) to be approved by ANATEL, as agreed with CADE.
- The Brazilian Virtual Mobile Operator Association (Abratual) reacted negatively to the proposed conditions for MVNOs.
- Aquário Mobi is Americanet's newest accredited MVNO, which uses TIM's network. It was created by Aquário, a manufacturer of telecommunications equipment.
5G
The 5G Brazil Ecosystem Report prepared by Deloitte for the Ministry of Economy proposes that six themes should be prioritized for the proposition of public policies:
- Entrepreneurship;
- Financial and tax support;
- Infrastructure development;
- Human capital development;
- Encouraging research, development and innovation of solutions;
- Coordination and approximation of the ecosystem.
Claro achieved the fastest average 5G download speed in Brazil, with 72.35 Mbps during the first quarter of 2022, followed by TIM (62.80 Mbps) and Vivo (62.38 Mbps). (Ookla)
Results 1Q22: Netflix, AT&T and Verizon
Comparing 1Q22 with 1Q21, revenue grew:
- +9.8% at Netflix;
- +2.1% at Verizon;
- -13.3% at AT&T.
Despite having presented revenue growth of 9.8%, its market value dropped 58% in this period. The loss of 200 thousand subscribers in 1Q22 and the prospect of further losses in the year led to a devaluation that could affect other streaming companies.

- The deadline for contributions to the public consultation on pole sharing, promoted by Anatel and Aneel, has ended.
ITU: Aspirational targets for 2030
ITU has published its 2030 aspirational targets for the world. Among them stands out having:
- 100% of the population aged 15+ years are internet users
- 100% of households with internet access
- 100% of schools connected to the internet
- 100% of the population covered by a state-of-the-art mobile network

- Sigfox has closed an agreement with UnaBiz, which operates networks in Singapore and Taiwan, which will take control of the company and continue its activities.
