Abrint, results 1Q25, MVNO...

Eduardo Tude

  • The consolidation of fixed broadband providers occurred mainly among those with more than 200 thousand accesses and between 5 thousand and 50 thousand accesses.
  • The Competitive Group (Providers) grew 12.8% in 2024, but M&A operations impacted the growth of Provider Groups by access range, the same ones used by the Abrint/Teleco Award.
  • Brazil ended 2024 holding 52.5 million fixed broadband accesses reported by 9 thousand providers, according to data updated this week by Anatel.

 Abrint Global Congress 2025

  • I'd like to thank everyone who visited the Teleco stand at Abrint and congratulate all the finalists of the Abrint/Teleco Award, which recognizes the most outstanding providers in the Brazilian Telecommunications market.
  • One of the most criticized points at the Abrint Congress was Anatel's decision to revoke (in 2027) Standard No. 4, which regulates internet connection providers. The revocation weakens the position of providers in lawsuits against state tax authorities, with disastrous consequences for many.
