Telecom Leaders in Brazil in 2024
Brazilian Telecom leadership chart in 2024 showed a change in relation to 2023, with Ligga now leading in Profitability (EBITDA Margin).
Claro led in 5 indicators, followed by Vivo (3) and Competitive operators Brasil Tecpar and Ligga with 1 each.

In the first quarter of 2011, Teleco began monitoring the performance of Telecom Groups in Brazil using selected indicators.
Since 2021, Teleco considers Competitive Operators those defined by Anatel as Small-Scale Providers (PPPs). Anatel considers Vivo, Claro, TIM, Oi and SKY as Large-Scale providers.
Since 2Q22, leadership in the indicators is attributed to the leading company that discloses the indicator, regardless of size. The analysis will also present the results of the Competitive Operators as a group.
This analysis included large providers and the following Competitive providers that disclose their results: Algar, Alares, Alloha (Giga+), Brisanet, Desktop, Ligga, Tecpar, Vero and Unifique.
In April/22, the sale of Oi Mobile to Vivo, Claro and TIM was concluded, according to the division agreed between the parties. The data in this commentary considers the incorporation of Oi Mobile's accesses by these operators, starting in 2Q22, with the revenue being appropriated by each operator since April.
The results for each indicator are presented below.
1) Revenue: Vivo in the leadership in 2024
Vivo led net revenue with R$ 55.8 billion in 2024, followed by Claro (R$ 48.6 billion) and TIM (R$ 25.4 billion).

Vivo is the leader in mobile revenue (R$ 39.8 billion) and Claro in fixed revenue (19.5 billion).
Teleco estimated the total net revenue of providers in R$ 182 billion in 2024.
2) Revenue Growth: Brasil Tecpar was the leader in 2024
Driven by acquisitions, Brasil Tecpar once again led net revenue growth in 2024 with 44.6%, followed by Alares (32.7%). Total net revenue growth was estimated by Teleco at 6.3%.

Oi had negative growth (-14.2%).
3)Vivo kept the leadership in Mobile Market Share
Vivo maintained its leadership in 2024, gained market share and led net additions (+3.2 million).
Claro and TIM lost mobile market share this year.

4) Vivo continued to lead Mobile Revenue in 2024
The three largest operators showed growth in 2024.

Claro presented the biggest growth in the year (10.0%) followed by Vivo (8.4%) and TIM (6.8%).
5) Fixed Services: Claro is the Market Share leader
Claro led fixed services market share with a total of 20.8 million accesses in 2023 and a market share of 25.2%, however, it's been losing market share. Vivo remained in second place and distanced itself from Oi, which lost 2.6 p.p. in 2024.

The Competitive operators, as a group, increased their market share to 42.3% in 2024.
6) Fixed Services: Claro leads Revenue
Claro led net revenue of fixed services by holding R$ 19.5 billion in 2024, ahead of Vivo (R$15.9 billion).

7) Fixed Broadband Market Share: Claro
Claro led fixed broadband market share in 2024 with 10.3 million accesses and 19.7% share, followed by Vivo (14.0%) and Oi (8.4%).
Competitives group reached 29.3 million fixed broadband accesses and 56% share from total accesses in 2024.

8) Pay TV Market Share: Claro
Claro kept the Pay TV leadership and gained market share in 2024, distancing itself from second-placed Sky, but lost 718 thousand subscribers in this period.

9) Fixed Telephony Market Share: Claro led it
Claro remained in the leadership and increased its market share to 30.6% counting 6.8 million landlines. Vivo (25.4%) took second place ahead of Oi.

Ligga (52.9%) led EBITDA margin in 2024, followed by Desktop (51.3%).
