Vivo and Claro start 2010 as leaders
In the first quarter of 2010, Vivo conquered the leadership in 6 of the 7 indicators selected by Teleco.
In 1Q10, Vivo conquered the leadership in ARPU, overtaking Tim, but was surpassed in profitability By Claro.

Market Share: Vivo amplifies the leadership in 1Q10
Vivo, the biggest mobile operator in Brazil, finished 1Q10 with 53.9 million mobile accesses and market share of 30.1%.

Vivo gained 0.37 percentage points of market share in 1Q10 and Oi lost 0.32 p.p.; Claro and Tim showed slight variation.

Vivo is amplifying its leadership in market share and probably won't be threatened by other operators in 2010.
Growth: Vivo consolidates the leadership
Vivo kept the leadership in net adds in 1Q10, repeating the performance gotten in 3Q09 and in 4Q09.

Vivo's net adds reached 2.2 million mobile accesses in 1Q10 and were higher than the amount got by other operators in 4Q09, which was the quarter with the highest growth in the year.

Net Revenue: Vivo amplifies its advantage over Tim
Vivo amplified its leadership in net revenue over Tim, which is in the second position in the ranking.

Vivo's net revenue increased due to the data revenue which raised from R$ 453 million in 1Q09 to R$ 687 million on 1Q10. The data revenue represented 17.5% of Vivo's service net revenue in 1Q10, while the data revenue represented 11.2% of Tim's service gross revenue.
The advantage in Tim's revenue over Claro can be explained by the incorporation of Intelig and by the long distance revenue.

Vivo showed the highest EBIT margin and profit of R$ 192 millions.
Quality: Vivo continues to lead in 1Q10
Since 2008, Vivo conquered the leadership for meeting Anatel's quality targets and since then the operator never lost the position.
