TIM ended 3Q11 with 59.2 million cellulars, growing 26.1% over 3Q10.
TIM is showing that it's possible to harmonize aggressive and innovative offers, such as "Infinity" plan that lead to the growth in client base and market share gain, with good financial economic results.
The operator presented net profit of R$ 880 million and EBITDA margin of 26.9% in the total counting the first nine months of the year. The gross revenue in this period increased 21.8% over the same period of 2010.

Handsets sales (72.2%), data (38.1%) and long distance (33.8%) showed the best growth of revenue in this period.
TIM took off subsidies of handsets price and increased sales which reached R$ 711 million in 3Q11.
TIM's long distance revenue (R$ 829 million in 3Q11) is close to Enbratel and Oi's revenues inside this segment (R$ 1.1 billion in 3Q11).
The growth in data revenue (38.1%), despite of being significative, wasn't enough to drive data revenue to a level superior to 20% of services revenue.

Mobile voice, interconnection and long distance represent 69.1% of TIM's revenue and the world trend points out to drop of these revenues due to competition. Interconnection revenue, for example, is likely to fall in 2012 after the reduction for VUm established by Anatel.

One of TIM's bets to continue to grow is purchase AES Atimus, which owns a great fiber network in the metropolitan regions of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. The operator wants to improve the quality of its mobile broadband (3G) connecting its cell sites with fiber and launch in 2012 a residential fixed broadband offer with speed superior to 10 Mbps inside these regions.
You could ask:
Will TIM keep the good growth for its revenue in 2012?
