Groups leading Telecom in Brazil in te first nine months of 2012
In the first nine months of 2012, Telefônica/Vivo group led in revenue and number of accesses, Sky was first in growth (revenue and accesses) and GVT in EBITDA margin. América Móvil and Oi shared the leadership in investments.

Teleco started, in the first quarter of 2011, to kepp track of the Telecom Groups performance in Brazil through the indicators selected. The following shows the results for the first nine months of 2012.
Revenue and number of accesses: Telefônica is the leader
Telefônica/Vivo is the biggest Telecommunication Group in Brazil in net revenue and number of accesses, or of Revenue Generating Unit (RGU) Definition.

Vivo is the leader in mobile accesses.

Oi leads in total fixed accesses, due to its leadership in fixed teleohones and fixed broadband. América Móvil leads pay TV.

Sky and GVT lead growth
Sky and GVT led growth of accesses and net revenue when comparing the first nine months of 2012 with the same period of 2011.

Profitability: GVT leads in EBITDA margin
GVT leads EBITDA margin followed by Vivo and Oi. The other groups show EBITDA margin inferior to 30%.

Telefônica presented the biggest profit in the first nine months of 2012 (R$ 3.0 billion), followed by TIM (R$ 0.9 billion) and Oi (R$ 0.7 billion).
Investments: América Móvil and Oi are the leaders
América Móvil and Oi lead holding R$ 4,0 billion in investments (Capex) in the first nine months of the year.
