Note: The order doesn't show the importance of the indicators. CTBC and Sercomtel weren't included in the analysis.

Since 2007, Teleco keeps track of the cellular operators' performance in Brazil, measured through these seven indicators.

Quality indicator can't be evaluated, because Anatel stopped, in April, to report the figures about the accomplishment of quality targets by operators.

We show in the following the results for each one of these indicators in 4T12.

Market Share: Vivo leads, but loses market share in the quarter

Vivo, the biggest mobile operator in Brazil, ended 4Q12 counting 76.1 million cellulars and market share of 29.08%.

Vivo reduced to 60 days the limit to shut off inactive prepaid accesses. This new rule drove to negative net adds and market share loss in the quarter.

Claro led prepaid net adds, but was surpassed by Vivo inside the postpaid segment.

Vivo's net adds in the quarter were impacted by the reduction of the limit to turn off prepaid inactive accesses to 60 days.

Net Revenue: Vivo keeps advantage over other operators

Note: Oi reports only revenue for cellulars accesses in the retail market (personal mobility). Claro's revenue without elimination of common revenues with Embratel, doesn't include long distance.

Vivo remained in the leadership holding revenue of R$ 5.8 billion in 4Q12 and growth of 10.7% in comparison with 4Q11.

Note: Since 2Q11, a modification was done in the criteria to calculate the profitability of the indicators (calculated by TELECO). We started to consider Group's EBITDA margin gathering fixed and mobile operation. It was necessary to make this modification because Vivo, Claro and TIM report the indicator this way only.

Quality: Anatel suspended the divulgation of the indicators

In April, Anatel stopped to report information about quality targets what made impossible to analyze this indicator since 2Q12.
