Groups leading Brazilian Telecom in 2012
In 2012, Telefônica/Vivo Group kept the leadership in revenue and quantity of accesses, Sky led growth (revenue and accesses), GVT in EBITDA margin and América Móvil (Claro, Embratel/Net) in investments.

Teleco started, in the first semester of 2011, to monitor the performance gotten by Telecom Groups in Brazil through selected indicators. The following shows the results registered in 2012.
Revenue and number of accesses: Telefônica is the leader
Telefônica/Vivo is the biggest Telecommunication Group (in Brazil) in net revenue and number of accesses, or of Revenue Generating Units (RGU).

Vivo is the leader in mobile accesses.

Oi leads total fixed accesses. América Móvil leads Pay TV and Oi is first in fixed telephones and fixed broadband.

Sky and GVT led growth
Sky and GVT lead growth in accesses and in net revenue during 2012.

América Móvil was placed in the third position in accesses growth, but was overtaken by TIM in revenue growth. At the same time, Oi surpassed Vivo in accesses growth, but showed revenue growth (0.8%) smaller when compared with Vivo (2.3%).
Profitability: GVT leads EBITDA margin
GVT led EBITDA margin in 2012, followed by Vivo and Oi. Other groups presented EBITDA margin inferior to 30%.

Telefônica/Vivo registered the biggest profit in 2012 (R$ 4.5 billion), followed by TIM (R$ 1.4 billion) and by Oi (R$ 0.8 billion).
Investments: América Móvil is the leader
América Móvil was the leader in investments (Capex) in 2012.
