TIM led cellular net adds in the 1th semester of 2013 (1S13) due to the performance inside prepaid segment.
Vivo led net adds in more segments: postpaid, 4G, 3G terminals and M2M.
Claro is the leader in converting its GSM handsets base into 3G, segment that showed the biggest net adds in the semester.

TIM leads prepaid and Vivo is first in postpaid
TIM led total net adds (1.8 million) and prepaid net adds (1.2 million), followed by Claro and by Oi.
Vivo, which is adopting a more restrict policy to turn off inactive prepaid accesses when compared with others, presented negative net adds of 1.8 million prepaid accesses, what reduced total net adds to 63 thousand mobile accesses.
Other operators have given signs of adjustments in its base. Claro got negative net adds in prepaid (-127 thousand) in 2Q13 and Oi reached -48 thousand in Jun/13.
On the other hand, Vivo led postpaid net adds (1.9 million) superior to the value gotten by the three other operators together and to the total of TIM's total net adds.
Claro leads migration of GSM handsets to 3G
Net adds of 3G handsets were 4.5 times bigger than the total of cellulars net adds in 1S13.
It counted 17.7 million mobile accesses, most of them were gotten from the migration from GSM handsets that showed negative net adds of 15 million in the period.
Claro led this migration by holding net adds of 6.5 million 3G handsets.
Vivo was the only operator in which the net adds of 3G handsets didn't make up for the loses in GSM base duet to the adjustment promoted in its prepaid base.
