TIM was the surprise inside postpaid segment, conquering the second position in net adds in the quarter.

5) Mobile Broadband: Claro led market share

Claro kept the leadership in mobile broadband market share in Brazil in Jan/15. After January, Anatel stopped to release this information.

Claro led in market share of 3G devices and Vivo was first in 4G and broadband terminals.

6) Net Revenue: Vivo is the leader

Vivo remained in the leadership by holding total net revenue of R$ 6.2 billion in 1Q15 and growth of 8.4% in comparison with 1Q14.

Note: Vivo's revenues don't include interconnection revenues from Vivo Fixo. Claro's revenue doesn't include long distance.

7) Data Revenue: Vivo's first

Vivo is the operator in which data represents the biggest part of the service revenue.

Note: Claro doesn't publish this indicator.

Vivo is also the operator holding the biggest data revenue (R$ 2.5 billion), followed by TIM (R$ 1.2 billion).

8) Growth of Services Net Revenue: Vivo is the leader

Vivo led the growth of services net revenue in 1Q15, being the only carrier to present growth superior to the inflation of the period (IPCA= 8.1%).

Mobile operators' revenues are suffering the impact of the reduction of VUM value promoted by Anatel.

9) ARPU: Vivo amplifies the leadership

Facts have contributed to avoid a more accentuated drop in Vivo's ARPU such as its more adjusted base, by a more restrict policy to turning off prepaid inactive accesses, and the growth of data revenue. Vivo's data ARPU (R$ 10.2) is getting close to voice ARPU (R$ 14.1).

ARPU values informed by operators aren't totally comparable because carriers use different criteria to calculate the figures. Claro includes only interconnection revenue (VUM) associated to long distance calls.

The minutes of use by client (MOU) in Brazil in 1Q15 registered drop in comparison with 1Q14.
