Nextel's advance inside postpaid segment in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo
In 2013, Nextel started to operate its 3G network and in May/15 it counted 2.0 million mobile accesses, all of them postpaid.
Nextel kept the focus on postpaid market and inside the metropolitan regions of Rio (area code 21) and São Paulo (area code 11) that concentrate 43.1% and 40.2% of the cell phones respectively in May/15.
A Nextel presented its best performance in Rio de Janeiro (21) where it also have 4G network.

Counting 864 thousand postpaid mobile accesses in May/15, Nextel is already in the fourth position in postpaid market share in Rio de Janeiro (21) and is likely to overtake Oi until the end of 2015.
In São Paulo (11), Nextel had 805 thousand mobile accesses in May/15 and competes with Oi for the 4th position in postpaid market.

In May/15, Nextel's market share reached 2.84% of the total of mobile accesses in Brazil, but it occupaied the 3rd position in Brazilian postpaid net adds in the accumulated values of the first five months of the year.

In the process of increasing its mobile base, Nextel can also count with the migration of its clients who used iDEN technology (SME- Trunking) to the company's 3G/4G network.
