Which operator is the most advanced in the transition voice to data in Brazil?

Voice is no longer the main telecom revenue in Brazil, as analyzed in Teleco's previous commentary (more details). This transition occurs, however, differently in the operators.

Note: It doesn't include revenue from handsets sales.

América Móvil (Claro, Embratel and Net) is in the most advanced stage of this process having 59% of its services revenue coming from non-voice services.

Unlike the Brazilian average, in which mobile voice (28%) and fixed voice (20%) are still the main services, at A. Móvil pay TV (29%) is the main revenue source. The Brazilian average for pay TV reaches 18%.

Sky's Pay TV revenue contributed in order to voice ceased to be the main revenue source of the operators average in Brazil.

Voice is still the main revenue source for Vivo (54%) and Oi (56%), operators that have small participation in the pay TV market.

Vivo/GVT area in similar stage in this transition. The difference is that at Vivo/GVT most of the revenue comes from mobile voice (31%) and mobile data (27%), meanwhile at Oi the main revenue sources are fixed voice (33%) and fixed broadband (28%).

At TIM, in which 96% of the revenue comes from mobile services, mobile voice answers for 63% of the revenue. The operator expects that in 2016 data will answer for most of its revenue.
