Ranking of Smart Cities Services 2018
The Ranking of Smart Cities Services, developed by Teleco, aims to identify, among the 100 largest Brazilian municipalities, those with the greatest offer of smart services for the citizen.
For its composition, the existence and use of 26 smart city services in the areas of urban mobility, E-Gov, Education / Health, environment and municipal management was evaluated. (more details)
The offer of electronic government services (E-Gov) such as the emission of tax tickets, emission of licenses and consultation of administrative processes through internet, takes place in more than 80% of the 100 largest Brazilian municipalities.
Urban mobility services comes next having as highlights apps regarding public transport schedules that allow users to monitor bus routes in real time.
Services for online school enrollment were the highlights in the education area, being present in 19 of the 100 municipalities. The availability of smart services in the areas of environment and municipal management is still incipient.

In the first position, the city of Juiz de Fora offers 16 of the 26 smart services surveyed. The usage data is:
All 100 cities surveyed have some smart city service, including the last one in the ranking (Campina Grande) that has three smart city services.
