The Company
Tim is controled by Telecom Italia. In 2007 Telefonica acquired stake in Telecom Itália which was approved in 10/23/07 by Anatel under restrictions.
In 2009, TIM acquired Intelig, national long distance company which had its incorporation concluded in December/09.
In 2011, TIM acquired AES Atimus which had a big fiber network inside metropolitan region of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro for R$1.6 billion.
In 2012, TIM Fiber started to operate aiming to provide high speed fixed broadband inside the metropolitan regions os e Rio de Janeiro.

Claro requested to see to Anatel's internal documents that rules the administrative process for approval made by TIM Brasil and Participações S/A, to acquisition, through consortium leaded by the Telefonica group, of participation in Telecom Italia S.p.A. Anatel denied access to this documentation. |

| Sep/08 | Tim decided to get into fixed telephony market by offering a telephone which is just fixed. The company could already offer it, since October, TIM Casa Flex, service which gathers a fixed number and a mobile one in the same chip and cell phone. |
